Dear Technology Acquisition Professional,

Are you currently a subscriber (or considering a subscription) to an internet-based technology transfer brokerage service? Are you tired of the large price tags and excessive success fees? As a technology transfer professional I can answer yes to both. This was the impetus to develop a free web site (yes you read correctly) that combines service and improved communications with no strings attached. This is a well researched enterprise that has given thought to each step of the technology transfer process. It is our goal to make connecting technology buyers and technology sellers a simple and profitable process. There are some similarities with the other web providers, great service, a large database, and continuing efforts to improve the web site as we all use it.

The differences, however, are striking. We do not put ourselves in the position to decide what technologies you should see. You designate your areas of interest and you can chose to correspond directly with technology developers. We also do not charge subscription or success fees. The site is totally free. For the smallest company to the largest corporation this service is an extremely valuable asset. While a small company may only have a few people interested in taking advantage of this service, a large corporation may have several people interested in utilizing this service. There is no limit to the number of users from a company that can register to use the service. Our aim is to make Techquisitions widely available, by maximizing the number of users everyone benefits.

Why us instead of the other guys? If the price isn’t reason enough consider that most other web-based brokers have business models that are based on subscription or success fees and are attempting to buildbusinesses that require significant revenues to support it. They may be here today, gone tomorrow. We have a different business model approach. Unlike these other companies we look to revenue from advertising to fund the operation and are not motivated by profits alone but rather to helping the technology transfer profession. As a grass roots organization we are not looking for massive expansion but building a community for technology transfer professionals. Since we have more modest business goals, we’re able to keep the size of our organization in line with a business model that’s easily sustainable. We will always seek to provide the best services and continually improve. This is where you, as a technology seeker, play an important part. We need to build as large a base of technology seekers as we can. This attracts all institutions to provide the data on the inventions you are seeking. Also we would like to hear your suggestions for improvement.
